JUST LIKE ME, JUST LIKE YOU
By Phil Jackson ©

Train station Announcement “Ladies and gentlemen, the train about to depart from platform seven is the eight fifty five, going to nowhere…”

Saw a girl with bags
And a suitcase on wheels.
She looked sad and in trouble.
She’d broken one of her heels.
She was limping through life
A lot like you and me
Just working to survive
Just working to be free.

Saw a boy, he came to help her
He gave her a smile
Took her bags, took her trolley
And sat her down for a while.
He mended her shoe
Just broke off the other heel
No longer alone she felt happy
She felt real.

Rf:
Trains, full of people,
Going nowhere
Some of them young, some with grey hair.
Some of them happy, some of them blue.
Millions of people
Just like me, just like you.

Guitar solo

Trains, full of people,
Going nowhere
Some of them young, some with grey hair.
Some of them happy, some of them blue.
Millions of people
Just like me, just like you.

Going along our way
Sometimes with friends
Hoping for some luck
Before our journey ends.

Rf

Trains, full of people,
Going nowhere
Some of them young, some with grey hair.
Some of them happy, some of them blue.
Millions of people
Just like me, just like you.

Guitar solo

All of them working
For money to live
Each not realizing
They have so much to give.
Each day-a page
In the book of their time.
Will they ever live their true life
Before the final bell chimes.

Rf:
Trains, full of people,
Going nowhere
Some of them young, some with grey hair.
Some of them happy, some of them blue.
Millions of people
Just like me, just like you.

Some of them happy, some of them blue.
Millions of people
Just like me, just like you.
